Monaro Club of Queensland Inc.

The first meeting of the reformed Monaro Club of Queensland Inc. was held in Beenleigh on the 18th June 1986 at the house of Derek Birch.

The first Committee was comprised of:

Vice President...Derek Birch

Secretary's........Nerrine and Michelle Carpenter

Treasurer..........David Seabrook

Public Relations.Steven Carpenter and Rick Smith

Subsequent meetings were held at the Beenleigh Rum Distillery

President's since then have been:..Craig Keene, Carole Peters, Graham Curtis, Jodie Curtis, Rebekka Napper, Mick Gourley, Darryl Lonergan & Terry Post.

The current President is Terry Post .

CLUB AIMS

• The preservation of the Monaro range of Holden cars
• The good relation of friends and families involved in the Club
• Participate in activities with other organisations with similar outlook
• Participate in car shows and displays to promote our activities

CRUZETIME

The first CruzeTime was held in 1987. The Cruze went from Target Car Park at Mt Gravatt to Hungry Jacks at the Gold Coast and comprised of approximately 40 cars.

CruzeTime 2001 comprised of approximately 1800 cars including all makes and models.

Over the years we have collected approx. 10 photo albums of photos and these can been seen at the club meetings held on the second Wednesday of each month. Refer General Info.
